We are thrilled to say that we are now able to offer face to face lessons in some schools, and in those not able to accommodate yet, we can offer online lessons, either in the school, or if that is not possible, then at home.
Click ‘enrol for lessons’ to find your school, and you will be presented with the possible options.

Unfortunately, due to the current COVID emergency, Gwent Music are unable to provide lessons for the coming Summer term. We are extremely disappointed that we have not been able to provide online tuition as planned. We hope you are able to make alternative arrangements for the coming weeks, and that we will be able to resume normal service before too long.

In view of the developments with the coronavirus outbreak, and in conjunction with the local authority, we have made the decision to cancel all rehearsals and concerts up until the Easter Holidays.
This will include all music centre and community ensemble sessions, Monday afternoon theory, the showcase concerts next Friday 20th and the 27th of March, and the Gwent Youth Brass Band performance at the Barbican on 23rd March.
The Gwent Youth Orchestra Course schedule to take place from April 3rd to 8th will also be postponed. More information will be circulated about this at a later date.
Exams scheduled to take place in Gwent Music offices over the next 3 weeks will go ahead as normal. Lessons in schools will continue as planned, unless your child’s school has made an independent decision to close.

On Wednesday, please come to the basement room at the Riverfront at 9am. Before you leave your child with us, you will need to complete a form with emergency contact details and medical information. (If you are bringing a child who is not your own, please ensure that you know the emergency contact details and medical information for them.) The children will need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle with them each day. They should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that they can move around and dance in. On the final day (Friday 30th August), there will be a performance for parents and relatives at 2.30pm in the Riverfront’s main theatre. You are most welcome to join us for this and there is no charge. For the performance, please could the children wear bright coloured t-shirts and dark trousers or leggins, with comfortable shoes. I look forward to meeting the children on Wednesday! Kind regards, Alice Jones Gwent Music Vocal Tutor
