Friends of Gwent Music

The Friends of Gwent Music is a fundraising organisation, raising money to help towards activities run by Gwent Music, providing added value for the students involved.

Over the years, the Friends have contributed to transport costs for trips to ‘Music for Youth’ in Birmingham and London, subsidised the cost of Gwent Music courses to make them accessible to more pupils and paid for ‘extras’ when groups have gone on tour. Since Covid, we have helped fund minority instrument projects and class projects throughout the Gwent area.

We welcome new members and anyone who would like to get involved with fundraising for this charity.

This is a message for a gentleman who overpaid for tickets at the recent Gwent Music concert, on Saturday 4th July at Rougemont School. If you paid £32 on the Friends’ SumUp machine for tickets and raffle, please get in touch with the Friends on their email:

We owe you £15! We can verify you by the last four digits of the card you used.

There are also some unclaimed raffle prizes in the office please contact the Friends to arrange collection.

Join our patronage scheme and help us to add to pupils’ experience of Gwent Music activities.
