Monmouthshire Community Choir, one of Gwent Music’s community groups, meets weekly in Usk on a Wednesday evening during term time.
Musical experience is not necessary to join, and each of our community choirs has a range of abilities from of absolute beginners to more experienced choristers, and age ranges from late teens to above!
Monmouthshire Community Choir sing a range of musical genres including pop, gospel and classical, and the choir regularly performs either individually or in combination with other choirs. Membership is only £45 per school term.
Recent studies show that singing really is good for you with health benefits such as strengthening our immune systems or reducing high blood pressure. Additionally, it can improve confidence, self-perception and boost creativity and problem solving. And above all, we believe singing should be fun, so expect to laugh a lot! So all in all, the feel-good factor is there for the taking!
Rehearsals are weekly on Wednesdays, 5pm – 6:30pm at County Hall, Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA.
This online form is not taking entries at this time. Gwent Music’s office will be closed from 4pm on Monday 27th April 2020 until further notice; please direct any urgent queries to Newport City Council.
